Charles Kazilek (B.F.A., Photography, ’83) recently published A Field Guide to the Tiger Beetles of the United States and Canada. The book features more than 250 photo illustrations of tiger beetles, revealing the range of the beetles’ colors, shapes and sizes. Great for the expert and novice. more

Jane Kelsey-Marple was featured in November’s Ceramics Monthly.

Ross LaManna (M.A., Theatre, ’81) was named chair of the undergraduate film department at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He will expand the department’s programs by emphasizing the use of emerging technologies.

Sandra Luehrsen (M.F.A., Arts, ’79) displays her ceramics in a one-person exhibition, Gifts of Generations, at the Chandler Center for Arts, Jan. 12 – Feb. 24, 2007. Opening reception, Friday, Jan. 12, 7 p.m. For more information, 480.917.6895, or chandlercenter.org. more

Tania Radda (M.F.A., Wood, ’03) has been selected as a finalist in the 2007 NICHE Awards in two categories: turned wood and teapots. Winners will be announced at a ceremony during the Philadelphia Buyers Market of American Craft, the nation's largest wholesale craft tradeshow, on Feb. 18, 2007. more

Michael Sample (B.A.E., B.A., Music, Performance, ’06) is playing the lead role of Jimmy in the Tony Award-winning musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie at the Broadway Palms Dinner Theatre in Mesa, Arizona.

Jo Ann Yeoman Tongret (B.A., Music, ’66; M.A., Theatre, ’96) has published a biography on Stuart Walker, pioneer of the American repertory theatre and Hollywood producer and director in the 1930s and 1940s. The book, Dream Dealer, is scheduled for released in January 2007 and is available in paperback for $14.95 at amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com and starcloudpress.com. more
