A New Chapter in Fine Arts History
Herberger College forms alumni group - join today!
Pride. We'd be fibbing if we said we didn't feel it when the computer-created work of Jon Haddock (BFA, Art, '85) was shown at the Whitney Museum of American Art last fall. Or when Philip Mann (BM, Music, '01) headed off to Oxford last September as a Rhodes scholar to pursue his master's in historical performance practices in baroque orchestral and opera music. Or when Laurie Eisenhower (BAE, Dance, '77; MFA, Dance, '86), founder of the Michigan-based Eisenhower Dance Ensemble, came to town with her troupe in January to perform "On the Move: Motown Goes West." Or when David Saar, director and founder of Tempe-based Childsplay (MA, Theatre, '76) - well, when he does just about anything!
Pride is something we at the Herberger College of Fine Arts passionately feel about our alumni. And it's something we hope our graduates in Art, Dance, Music and Theatre feel about the college, which has emerged as a national leader in fine arts education since its founding in 1964.
Now you can tap into the pride and help to nurture it in future fine arts alumni by joining the Herberger College's newly founded alumni chapter. Membership in the chapter includes the benefits of membership in the ASU Alumni Association.
Right now, our chapter is working to create scholarships to attract the most talented students and enhance the college's programs. Seed money to start our first scholarship already has been donated by the parent of one of our alumni! We're also establishing a network of Herberger College alumni in a broad range of arts and non-arts fields, who can be resources for one another and current students.
We hope you'll join us. To become a member of the Herberger College of Fine Arts Alumni Chapter, simply complete and return the membership form.
