Excellence is earned. So, too, is support. At Herberger College of Fine Arts, both abounded in 2000-2001. Nearly 1,000 generous benefactors, committed to investing in excellence, rewarded Herberger College students, faculty, academic and research units, and the communities they serve, with gifts to the college. More than $17.3 million was contributed - a record for support. The result: more scholarships greater opportunities for faculty research and study capital acquisitions to support academic and creative programs enhancements to the already well-regarded collections of the ASU Art Museum increased ability to bring the fine arts to the community through outreach programs and partnerships. This level of benefactor support has set new standards and opened the doors to new possibilities. More importantly, however, it has created a legacy, which will benefit Herberger College students, faculty and the community for generations to come. It has given us new wings.
