Solo and panel presentations at “Freedom in the Florida Territory: American and the Caribbean Connections to the Underground Railroad” conference. Solo presentation: Visual Artifacts – Passage on the Underground Railroad: A Photographic Journey.
March 9-15, 2004:
COMPLETED
University of Houston-Clear Lake, Texas
Reception for solo exhibition, which coincides with Houston Fotofest; also presenting class talks and a public lecture.
March 25-28, 2004: Newport, Rhode Island
Presenting at the Society for Photographic Education national conference.
March 30 – April 3, 2004: Jamestown, New York
Presenting lectures and workshops at Jamestown Community College; speaking at Southwestern High School and probably some middle schools as well.
May 12-18, 2004: Meeting with historian, director and other administrators at the National Underground Railroad Center about exhibition and book in Cincinnati; photographing sites in Indiana and Ohio.
May 24-31, 2004: Photographing UGRR site and other commitments in Dallas, Texas.
June 10-13, 2004: Digital storytelling workshop, Sedona, Arizona
June 17-20, 2004: Opening of exhibition at Mississippi Museum of Art and conference at Jackson State University.
June 25-27, 2004: Opening of exhibition at the Center for Photographic Art, Carmel, California.
