Museum Named "the single most impressive venue for contemporary art in Arizona" by Art in America magazine, the ASU Art Museum collection comprises 12,486  pieces of art, including 234 works by 84 Cuban artists—the most important collection of contemporary Cuban art outside the island. Learn more
History Founded in 1964, the College of Fine Arts at Arizona State University welcomed its first class of students at the beginning of fall semester, 1965. Learn more
Our Name In 2000, the College of Fine Arts was named The Katherine K. Herberger College of Fine Arts, in honor of Valley arts philanthropist Katherine K. "Kax" Herberger. In 2007, the name changed to Herberger College of the Arts. Learn more
