Thanks to seven Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts students, a dirty, white 250-foot-long construction wall was transformed into a striking, brightly colored mural facing a high-traffic mall on campus. The mural, which remained in place for 16 months, brightened up the temporary barrier near the construction site for ASU's Lattie F. Coor Hall, a mediated classroom building. The construction company, Sundt Corp., donated the paint for the project. Participating students also earned class credit for their work, as well as scholarships to cover tuition for the independent study project.
