School of Art Scholarships, Fellowships and Awards

The ASU Herberger College School of Art administers a range of undergraduate and graduate scholarships, fellowships and awards that have varied criteria based on the donors' instructions. A list of available scholarships is listed below as well as application deadlines and instructions.

Application Requirements, Procedures and Deadlines

School of Art scholarships are selected on a competitive basis. To be considered for a School of Art scholarship you must be a School of Art major. Eligibility for each scholarship may differ and is listed on the available scholarships section above. Scholarships may require application materials or nomination of faculty or both.

Materials to Submit
You are required to complete a Herberger College of the Arts application form, a one-page resume that includes personal achievements, education information, work experiences, art exhibits and a statement about the art work, and an unofficial transcript.

• Studio art students must submit a digital portfolio of 10-15 images either in JPEG of no more than 1000 pixels in the long dimension or all images assembled in a PowerPoint presentation. A list that includes titles, dates, sizes and media must accompany the images.
• Art History students submit a research paper of no more than 15 pages.
• Art Education students submit a research paper or a combination of a digital portfolio and research paper.

Addition materials may be required; refer to individual scholarships for specific instructions. All materials may be submitted in a 9”x12” envelope.

Notification
You will be notified by mail of the Art scholarship committee's decision. Scholarship funds are awarded for the next academic year, unless stated otherwise.

All School of Art scholarships are awarded on the basis of one academic year. The application process applies for all scholarships that are renewable. Any student who wants to be eligible for a future scholarship must re-apply.
