Available Scholarships and Awards
The Department of Dance administers the following scholarships, fellowships and awards and are only available to Dance majors.
Anne Kinnerup Dance Scholarship
Dance major with a minimum 3.0 GPA
Dance Memorial Fellowship (Peg DesJardin)
Undergraduate Dance major; 3.0 minimum GPA
Eirene Peggy Lamb Fellowship in Dance
Gifted graduate student, financial need, 3.0 GPA
Friends of ASU Dance Scholarship/Fellowship
Awards recognizing current and retired Dance faculty. For Dance majors with 3.0 minimum GPA
Friends of Dance Endowment
For students majoring in Dance.
Herbert Smith Family Fellowship in Dance
To support a graduate fellowship in Dance. Fellowship recipients should be full-time graduate students in the Herberger College of the Arts and in good academic standing at the university. Financial need is not a consideration.
Hope and Robert Heimann Memorial Fellowship
Graduate award for special projects. 3.0 GPA – outstanding performer.
Kathy Lindholm Lane Memorial Scholarship in Dance Education
Undergraduate, full-time student pursuing a major in Dance, with a concentration in dance education. Minimum GPA 3.0.
Special Talent Awards
For graduate and undergraduate students enrolled full time and maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA
Application Procedures and Deadlines
Any continuing full-time ASU student majoring in Dance is eligible to participate in the Department of Dance Scholarship program. Student must have completed 24 credit hours (prior to requesting scholarship). It is important to note that students currently holding scholarship awards will not be guaranteed renewal of awards and must reapply. Graduate students interested in applying for the Hope and Robert Heimann Memorial Fellowship for special project support should use a separate application.
